In this performance video, the artist tattoos herself using white, almost invisible ink. A real act of pain leaves only the faintest physical trace — yet the gesture becomes a profound ritual of reclaiming the body. Behind her, a projection of archival footage shows the artist dancing on stage at the age of seven — a memory of movement, freedom, and uninhibited presence.
The adult body, by contrast, becomes a surface of quiet resistance — shaped by years of discipline, disconnection, and internalized control. Referencing her own personal history of lost embodiment and the shift from dance to disordered self image, the artist transforms the tattoo machine into an instrument of inscription, not of image, but of memory.
